Awesome HO Scale BN Model Train Layout in HD – 2-21-2009

Take a look at Tim Dickinson’s wonderful HO Scale Burlington Northern empire as we follow a grain train, with manned helpers, over the mountain and through numerous yards and staging tracks. While the video shows an overall view of the layout, it’s difficult to get appreciation for the quality level of this railroad without actually seeing it in person.

  1. very nice! I also model BN/BNSF/flags… But I live in NYC, where most people model CSX or NS. I like em all, but I choose the green. Anyway it’s nice to see so many BN units operate together.
-Scenery isn’t done on our layout either, we’re on our 3rd layout since 1947.

  14. I got sucked into model railroading with my hubby’s garden railroad when I met him in HS. We’ve been into HO and G ever since. We model BN after his passion for living near the Chicago-Aurora Racetrack line. I grew up originally near KCS. But My passion has become BN aswell.

  18. I’m very impressed by the work done on this layout. And what’s more, although I work in N scale, you’ve still provided me with plenty of inspiration for my own model railroad project. Thank you.

  19. Very impressive. I had the old SCL railroad and modeled mine after the NC line through Benson NC. Nothing like this scale and detail though. It must have taken alot of time and effort to put this impressive railroad together. Kudos!
