Does the model train exhibit that was in Los Angeles at the museum of science and industry still exist?
I was trying to look up on the internet the train exhibit I used to go to as a kid that was located in Los Angeles at the La Brea tar pits and I think the Museum of science and industry. Anybody know if it is still around and if not what happened to it?

I can only give you a suggestion, not an answer.
The California Museum of Science and Industry, where the train exhibit was housed, closed down in 1996. In 1998, after a complete remodelling, its successor museum reopened as the California Science Center.
There’s a website of reminiscences about the old Science and Industry museum at the link below. Within the "Message Board" section of that site, there is some correspondence from 2005 about the model train exhibit.
According to a correspondent called "William", much of the model train layout ended up in a dumpster when the old museum was gutted.
"William" may know what happened to the rolling stock, etc. There is a link from the message board, whereby you can Email William.
Give it a try!
