  5. Nice work on the train. That is some impressive modeling. Too bad you had to paint over a Rio Grande car though ;-) (I’m a Grande fan)

  6. Awesome job…. One thing though…. car 200 was more than a generator car. Two 12 cylinder GMC generators, crew’s bathroom and showers and a bunk car for the operations crew. Held 12 bunks and one seperate room for car foreman…. I know because I lived in bunk car for 3 months. Did you make car 201? the pullman sleeper that housed various crew members? Still I would love to have chance to see this in person……. how many hours did you spend on this wonderful reproduction?

  7. Thanks Grube54, Yep, I realized that after I put the video together. The AFT 201 just came out of the paint booth(I airbrush everything including the stripes) and should be finished shortly. It’s taken me about a year to get this far, working at a less than moderate pace. The train will be displayed this fall/winter at various mid-western locations. Thank you for your kind comments. And always good to hear from a a crew member!! Johnny

  12. Johnny – How many cars did you add to the Lionel set? Are you going to try to make all the cars, including the flat cars and their loads? You did a nice job on detailing the bell and lunar rover. What did you do for decals … I’ve been looking for a good set for years. – Steve
