HO Scale Model Train Layout – Santa Fe in Texas

Went over to my parents’ house to shoot some video of my father’s HO scale model train layout. He’s modeling a Santa Fe branch line in Texas in the 1950’s.

  1. A very nice looking layout! Great looking buildings and scenery. Ask dad why no signals where the tracks cross.

  8. how big is it and how do u get the sound of the loco

  9. The layout room is probably 12′ by 20′ and the layout runs along the walls. The sound is from a stationary sound unit mounted under the layout. I think it was made by MRC.

  11. Hey HyndmanHelper,
I like the era that he chose for the layout. I have a model train layout too that is HO scale, my dad gave me his Santa Fe F-Unit that he bought in the late 70’s. Check out my new video to see it, I will post a video response. Your MRC sounds so good, mine sounds horrible.
