  6. One thing, dude. Doesn’t matter what type of loco it is, it’s really not a good idea to letthem sit there and grind the rails like that steamer did. grab the thing off the track or shut it down immediately. Save yourself the trouble and money.

  7. that was a one time thing. i don’t allow it to normally happen. the whole things under construction right now. New buildings, more light for buildings, new crossing signal (with working lights and gate), a traffic light, street lamps, police lights, more brush and trees, and some bill boards and light up signs. It’s going to look beautiful when it’s done. Like I said the top tracks gone so it’s back to the single ring track.

  8. they’re getting replaced with actual crossings (light up and actually go down and stay down when the train crosses)

  12. I’ve always been most attracted to HO, but as you mention, space is always a problem. Even a modest HO layout can devour a room in no time. Great job, man.

  18. nice layout. Hey I hear ya on money. I’m 23 and make $15 an hour and still don’t have money especially for HO scale. Anyway, if your parents will let u spend your money on ebay, get on there you get great deals on brand new HO stuff. I got a good $2000 dollars worth of HO stuff for about $300 bucks all in brand new condition. You should check it out. makes the hobby a little more affordable, but the wait on shipping kind of sucks.

  19. I hear ya. See the only thing is, since I’m 15, 16 inJuly, I’ve been drowning in school work for the past year. So my dad and I bought all this stuff (like a ACTUAL crossing gate with lights, working police lights to put on….well duh, a neon motel sign with like a 100 different flashing settings, and a lot more), but we haven’t had anytime to set it up. Hopefully I can get it up this summer
