LGB train
my brothers made this little movie by putting the camera on a wagon of our model train in the garden.

that will suck if the train derailled
Comment by eddieo92 — January 14, 2007 @ 3:19 pm
it looks like it will sometimes isn’t it?
It derailled once, some kid put rocks or wood on the rails.. nothing bad happend.
Comment by GP84 — January 14, 2007 @ 7:20 pm
the reason it looks like it’s going to derail is probably because of the speed you run it at. it looks like it’s going pretty fast at some points, even in a few turns. felt like a rollercoaster ride but still a good track.

Nice! The video reminds me of a rollercoaster ride! I would think running the train at a slower speed will give it better “scale effects” and make it look more realistic. Very nice garden you have!

almost like a roller coaster ride…well done!

Comment by 4wdperson4ever — November 8, 2008 @ 12:19 am
when i retire, im gonna get a small back yard and fill it with g-scale as much as possible. why? less yard to mow
Comment by rockguitarist946 — December 14, 2008 @ 10:11 pm
that’s so true!! But don’t be mistaken, it’s more work than you expect. but it sure looks a lot more interesting than a yard with just grass
Comment by GP84 — December 15, 2008 @ 4:42 am
i think it’s also like that because your not able to see the tracks.. so you get this rollercoasterfeeling because these unexpected turns come up
Comment by GP84 — December 15, 2008 @ 4:44 am
how do lay down track and make it look like the stuff in the video??? just wondering
Comment by TheNewDorkTimes — December 15, 2008 @ 9:52 pm
at 0:29 what is that large expanse of grass
Comment by chockrock69 — January 4, 2009 @ 8:38 am
It’s the grass field behind our house, we have cows on it most of the times. It looks like our garden goes all the way till to the trees but it doesn’t.
anyway it’s a great view
Comment by GP84 — January 28, 2009 @ 8:01 am
Yeah i hear it takes time to keep up the landscaping so the bushes and small trees don’t grow out of hand. Unlike smaller scales LGB uses real life landscaping. Also starting at 0:23 looks like a long way down if that jumped the track.
