Pedal Powered LGB Train

The PPPM is pressed into service as the energy source for an LGB G-Scale Garden Train. A 1.5F Audio Stiffening Capacitor created authentic “momentum.” Pedaling speed=train speed, and you can actually “feel” the locomotive hit the grade. Easy pedal. www.los-gatos.ca.us

  7. how’s it work? rotational energy?

  8. The generator is connected to the track, with a capacitor to smooth out the power and provide a little “inertia” for the train. The wires are hard to see because they are small. They run from the 1.5 F silver capacitor on the ground below me to the track in the foreground. That motor-shaped object behind and below me is the generator. See my other moves for other views of the parts.
